I first heard Lemaitre’s “Blue Shift” years ago and wrote about it in my “pretty music” post. To this day it’s still one of the most delightfully bleep bloop productions to grace my ears. I could say that I’ve had these guys on repeat for the past week but I’ve said that on numerous occasions. Their music is fun, often bass infused and funky, fully capable of making the dance floor erupt but also retains an ethereal quality. One of the most refreshing acts I’ve heard in a while, plus bonus points for geeky science references in their song titles.
Just stumbled on these two dudes from Wales and Holland that go by the name Televisor and they.. guitar. good. The staggering amount of joyfulness flowing out of “Stand-up” simply incapacitates my working English. Hit them up on facebook and soundcloud cause their numbers don’t reflect how great they are.
JESUS Lurka just dropped this on soundcloud. It is so delectably refreshing. Unlike anything I’ve heard recently. Feel free to be like “what the fuck?”
Also in case you haven’t heard, Jack Sparrow just dropped an LP with a fellow named Ruckspin under the collab name Author. It’s a beautifully chill album, with a really interesting jazzy influence, and dynamic set of experimental tracks. From the next-level warmth of “Green and Blue” to the darkness of “Mothership” these guys will bring the bass in ways you never thought were possible. Something different. Grab the album here
Speaking of left fucking field, I’m going to bring in Skrillz here because I’ve been listening to him for a while and he always comes up with weird crazy shit that I find really interesting and different but never end up blogging about. Well here we go. He dropped this today:
Finally, on the heavier side, we’ve got updates from Korkey Buchek and Wobbelix. Wobbelix goes hard. Super hard.
