Ifan Dafydd is a relatively new producer on that future bass vibe. He’s been likened to James Blake in style, maybe because of the soulful pitch-shifted re-invigoration of R&B vocals, or the minimalist pretty synths coloring the empty space of the song. He also lived with James Blake in university, with Mount Kimbie not too far away, explaining the similarity in their “post-dubstep” feel, soulful vibes and stunning musicality.
