I don’t typically post dubstep tracks because bboyamir’s got that on lock but I just found this preview of Jakwob’s newest single “Right Beside You”, slated for a June 20th release. This is my shit. A beautiful musical palette, chill wobbles and female vocals that make you melt. Well played Jakwob.
The Black Project is a new disco duo consisting of Italian producers Nello Simioli and Peppe Black. They’ve only been around for a little over a year but have already scored a beatport top ten with their track “Wonder”. They are currently signed to Loudbit records, a label I am unfamiliar with but it is apparently an Italian House and Disco label based out of Firenze. The song that sold me on these guys was “In the Disco”, this track is brimming with energy and feel good vibes (my kind of disco). “In the Disco” also features the same guitar sample used in Will Smith’s “Gettin’ Jiggy With It” which happens to be one of my favorite 90s anthems. Respect.
This post is dedicated to those tracks that can’t be fully appreciated until they are blasted over a 50 speaker stack at an open air concert. Those special few that only get better as their sound tears your eardrums and rattles your ribcage. It’s finally warming up in the midwest and I’ve got concerts on the mind. Some of my favorite memories below:
Far Too Loud – Start The Party (Original Mix)
Miles Dyson – Live In Mexico (Original Mix)
The Bloody Beetroots – Awesome (Feat. The Cool Kids)
Deadmau5 – Slip (Sebastien Leger Remix)
Thieves Like Us – Drugs In My Body (Just a Band Remix)
Phonat’s seizure inducing “Set Me Free” music video:
Some fun fresh/glitch kinda stuff I’ve come across recently. Be sure to check these guys out.
Bleep-Bloop is a glitchy up-and-comer who describes his music as ”
Bass dipped in liquid question marks and rolled in lazers” He first caught my eye with his entry in NiT GriT’s babylon remix contest, but his new track Canigetwitcha keeps it fresh
Super glitch = super FUN:
Keep tabs on this. Numbernin6 has been rising fast, and this shit is straight up FIRE
Gramatik is a straight chiller. Any artist who links me to their discography for free from their facebook page is alright in my book and to make the deal even sweeter Gramatik’s music is about as good as it gets in terms of jazz/funk infused electronic. His music covers a lot of ground and despite the obvious jazz influence he produces a lot of big beat tracks similar to Pretty Lights. I haven’t had nearly enough time to digest the discography but here are a few tracks that got me really pumped.
